No Faith in War day

DSEI will take place in London in September 2023; we are calling on Friends to Witness at the ‘No Faith in War Day’

In order to be impactful and supportive we are asking Friends to let your life speak, for yourself, God and for those who are silenced due to the Arms Trade.

The day will be multifaith (insh’allah), where Friends and other religions will hold space to Witness before the opening of the DSEI Arms Fair on Tuesday 12th. As part of this we are planning several times for Quaker worship throughout the 7th:

  • Meeting for Worship - 9am
  • Meeting for Worship - 1pm If you can only make it for part of the day, 1pm is the key time to aim for. Friends can arrive in Elizabeth Fry room, Friends House, between 10am - 12pm to travel over together.
  • Online Meeting for Worship - 1pm for those who can't be there in person but would like to join in spirit. Sign up to receive Zoom details. Hosted by Woodbrooke Learning Centre, Northern Friends Peace Board and Quaker Roots.
  • Epilogue - 5pm

If you're joining our witness, check out this practical information about what to bring, what will be there, travel, accommodation and staying safe & well.

For the day to be successful we need Friends, and lots of them. Friends to offer help, Friends to offer practicalities, Friends to join us in organising, Eldering, holding activities (banner making, songs, etc.). Read more about what these roles involve and how you can volunteer.
